Acne Skincare Products
Acne is an industry, producing a vast array of acne products, ranging from sophisticated, prescription-only products to natural products as far away as your kitchen cupboard.
The range of acne skincare products is such that the ‘anti-acne’ business has also created a huge amount of literature, some of it quite ill-informed about both the causes and cure for acne.
So what is the best acne skincare product? Remember there are thousands of products out there that are designed to cure acne, treat acne scarring, prevent acne and do just about everything else.
The first question should be, what sort of acne do you suffer from? In fact, that question also requires you to know what sort of skin you have.

The other major issue is the question of safety. How safe is the product you’re proposing to use? What are the customer experiences? How good are the ingredients? What are the side effects? Think about all of these questions when you look at the products you may be considering and think about one more very important question.
Do you want something over-the-counter, or do you want a natural or home-grown remedy for your acne? This will depend upon a variety of factors, but it is an important question to consider before you start the acne ‘eradication’ program.
Here are some popular acne treatments that come from the pharmaceutical industry, rather than natural products.
Pronexin is a very popular acne treatment that has the advantage of being largely based on natural ingredients, is fast-acting (usually a week for most acne sufferers) and a proven track record of success. It is also easy to use and is relatively inexpensive.
Clearasil acne products have a strong following, with the ‘ultra acne’ product made from rosehip being a moisturizer serum finding favor with many acne sufferers as it is not regarded as ‘heavy’ and it can work very well on appropriate skin types. The rosehip and hibiscus serum also smells good as well as working its magic.
Acneticin also rates highly. It is a formula that works beneath the skin and while it may take longer than treatments like Pronexin, it can work very effectively indeed.
Cetaphil products are highly regarded by many, particularly for those with sensitive or dry skin. The products permit natural moisture retention.
Orovo Acne is a treatment that is relatively unique in that it works both inside and outside the body. The treatment is natural and focuses on the cause of acne, rather than the symptoms, ridding the body of toxins and hormonal issues that lead to the condition. It has been very successfully used by thousands of acne sufferers.
Oxycerin is another popular treatment, being a product that carries tea tree oil, which has long been a favorite for natural acne treatment formulas. Tea tree oil has been proven to be very effective – perhaps as effective as benzoyl peroxide – in beating acne. Unlike benzoyl peroxide there are fewer side effects with tea tree oil products, which often include itchy skin or dry skin conditions.
Asso soap is expensive because it contains gold, so no surprises that you would be paying well over $US100 for a bar of soap. Gold particles can dissolve in the skin allowing the acne to be killed ‘at source’. Gold’s healing properties have been used in medicine in the East for hundreds of years, however its cost is obviously a prohibitive factor for many to contemplate.
